Persuasion: An Annotated Edition by Jane Austen
This book offers running commentary on the novel (conveniently placed alongside Austen’s text) to explain difficult words, allusions, and contexts. The abundance of color illustrations allows the reader to see the characters, locations, clothing, and carriages of the novel, as well as the larger political and historical events that shape its action. 360 pages. 9 x 9-1/2 inches. 102 color illustrations. I MUST have this!

Enshadowed (Nevermore #2) by Kelly Creagh
Even though I haven't read the first book in this series, I still want to read this one. As long as it takes this woman to write each book, I'm actually glad I haven't started reading this series yet - I would have forgotten the storyline by now...

Onyx (Lux #2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Opal (Lux #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky #1) by Veronica Rossi

The Selection (The Selection #1) by Kiera Cass

The Brontës: Wild Genius on the Moors: The Story of Three Sisters by Juliet Barker
Because I MUST read 1184 pages all about the Brontes. That was a messed up and tragic family. The mother died after the 6th child was born, and the father outlived all of his children. The 2 youngest children died within a month of each other after having been sent off to that horrible school. Branwell (31), Emily (30), and Anne (29) all died within a year of each other. Charlotte lived to the age of 38, when she married, got pregnant, then died.

Going Vintage by Lindsey Leavitt
*I don't need this on my list to Santa anymore. I just got approved on NetGalley, so this wish already came true!

Just One Day (Just One Day #1) by Gayle Forman
Since I'm wishing, I may as well wish BIG. If anyone can get me this book early, it would be Santa.

Nobody But Us by Kristin Halbrook
I think Santa would want me to have this book early also. I've been a good girl all year.

  2. Can't wait to read Just One Day! I just got declined for Going Vintage on NG but I'll look for it when it comes out. The Lux series is so fun, looking forward to reading Opal. And you are so right about Enshadowed - I'm worried I've forgotten everything about Nevermore it's been so long since I've read it! Hope Santa fulfills your wish list :)

  6. Yay for Onyx and Opal. They are such fun books. Well, I just started reading Opal, but I really like the Lux series. I haven't read JLA's covenant series, though. I can't decide if I should read it.

I haven't read Jane Austen's Persuasion, but I hear people love it. But whenever I get in a Jane Austen mood, I keep going back to P&P.
