The Raven Boys (Raven Cycle #1) by Maggie Stiefvater
I loved everything about this book! I can't wait for the rest of the series.

Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols
Does she ever write a bad book? I am looking forward to all of her releases in 2013.

Something Like Normal by Trish Doller
Amazing. I read several military themed books this year, and this was the best.

Scarlet (Scarlet #1) by A.C. Gaughen
Will Scarlet as a girl? This totally worked for me. I loved Robin Hood too, though his character wasn't as developed as Scarlet. I am so excited that this is going to be a trilogy!

Personal Effects by E.M. Kokie
Another military themed book. This was a very emotional read for me.

Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits #1) by Katie McGarry
Echo and Noah!!!

My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
This is another book that I put off reading for some reason. This was a great contemporary and I really enjoyed it!

What Happens Next by Colleen Clayton
This was soooo good, and yet so heartbreaking.

If I Lie by Corrine Jackson
Another military themed book. I completely sided with Quinn, and I really had issues with Carey - and he wasn't in 90% of the book!

Unspoken (The Lynburn Legacy #1) by Sarah Rees Brennan
I really loved the imaginary friend aspect and the communicating with just thoughts. This was a clever and imaginative book.

Time Between Us by Tamara Ireland Stone
Love the time travel!

Easy by Tammara Webber
I put off reading this for a long time. Who knew I would like it so much?!?

What were your favorite books read in 2012?

  1. Pushing the Limits was one of my favs of 2012, too! I am loving seeing it on so many TTTs today.

I really want to read Something Like Normal, Scarlet, Easy, and If I Lie. I hope I can get to them soon.

    Thanks for sharing :)

  2. I've only done one on your list! The Raven Boys. And I must say since I also read The Scorpio Races in the calendar year, Scorpio made my list rather than Raven. Though, I love Stiefvater's writing she'll make my top ten any day.

Finding inspiration for my TBR in your picks of Easy, Unspoken, and Jennifer Echols (I haven't done any of her books!).

  3. I haven't read a lot of the books on your list--but most of them are on my TBR list! Go figure...but I have read Scarlet and I loved it. I didn't know they were making it a trilogy, though.

  4. Oh I loved Scarlet - it ALMOST made my list (and is a reason why I decided to do a second list tomorrow).

I haven't read Unspoken yet but looking forward to that one.
