Synopsis from Goodreads:

The hottest silver fox EMT happens to live on my street. When he rescues me, I bring him a casserole as a thank you. Seems like the neighborly thing to do.

However, I don’t anticipate my thank you turning into a steamy afternoon delight. Now Percy and I are heating up the sheets and finding more in common than I ever could have expected.

Both Percy and I have been burned by love before. Are we ready to take a chance on love or is this fling just a flash in the pan?

Waiting On Wednesday (736) Kismet by Nicky James

Expected Publication: December 22, 2025
Genre: MM, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

My name is Dominique Chevalier, and I am broken. Two years ago, a beloved part of me died. Angelique was everything, but she left me alone.
Alone with an infant, a broken heart, unimaginable pain, and a promise that I’ll never forget.
After relocating and taking a job as Ottawa’s chief forensic pathologist, I find purpose.
I find escape from the anguish that threatens to drown me.
I find him.
Detective Kobe Haven is everything I can’t have but everything I want.
Our paths cross when we are called to investigate a murder. Kobe is charming, smart, and relentless, but I can’t move on. I’m not ready. Before I know what’s happening, he’s under my skin, inside my veins, warming a special place in my heart.
I can’t turn him off.
He’s all I think about.
But do I really know him?
Does he really know me?
As the case unravels and the bodies pile up, true feelings surface.
Winter storms rage. Spring is nothing more than a feverish wish on a cold night. Eternally out of reach.
Or is it?
Is Kobe someone I can trust?
Is he someone I can love?

Oh no. I love this author, but she's starting a new series without finishing her last series, so murder and mayhem are left dangling until she gets back to it. Frustrating. But I'm still excited to start a new series!

Waiting On Wednesday (735) The Skin Game (Subtle Deceptions #3) by Elle Keaton

Expected Publication: December 18, 2025
Genre: MM, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Gabriel Karne is cautiously optimistic. Life seems to be settling down into a nice even keel.

It’s a new year and the former con artist has a permanent-for-now address. Even Keith the cat seems to like it there. No more rickety sailboats and living out of go-bags for Gabriel Karne. No surprises. No dead bodies.

Romance wise, he and Ranger Man are easing into being a couple. A lifetime of habits is hard to break for both of them but they’re getting there.

Gabe even has a job. Will he regret agreeing to it? Probably. But it’s almost legal, so... baby steps.

Then a strange young woman claiming to be his long-lost daughter appears on his new doorstep, and she has some sketchy documentation to prove it. It’s not impossible, but Gabe wasn’t born yesterday, and Heidi Karne was his mother, after all. And another damn letter—this one from a stranger—shows up. The author claims to be a friend of Heidi’s and to have some of his late mother’s belongings. Just great.

It's pretty clear that the past isn't done with him yet.

It will be fine. Everything will be fine.

I've read the last few series from this author and really enjoyed them, especially the Pacific Northwest setting. I like the dark mystery in this series, and the low steam romance between the 2 MCs. Can't wait to see more secrets revealed.

Waiting On Wednesday (734) 300 New Year's Eves by K.C. Carmichael

Expected Publication: December 16, 2025
Genre: MM, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Sergio Durand, renowned photographer and playboy extraordinaire, plans to welcome the New Year in style. Along with his brother Adrien, they're off to the winter wonderland of Lake Placid, ready for a holiday filled with skiing, laughter, and good company. Their group includes best friend Holden, his wife Rose, and their charming son Henry—a perfect celebration... until it isn't.

The festive spirit turns sour when Sergio crosses paths with Jeremy Owens, the one who got away. After a series of blunders leaves everyone around him fuming, Sergio finds himself caught in a bizarre twist of a time loop forcing him to relive New Year's Eve repeatedly. With each reset, Sergio scrambles to mend broken bonds with his brother, pacify a disgruntled Rose, and perhaps, rekindle a lost love with Jeremy.

Can Sergio navigate through his mistakes and salvage the relationships most important to him, or is he doomed to spend eternity making the same missteps on the last night of the year?

I'm actually not a fan of timeloop stories because I find them... repetative. I know, I know. But reading the same scenes over and over with little character growth will kill this for me. So, fingers crossed. Also, this is only this author's 3rd book, and I haven't read the others, so I really don't know if I will enjoy this or not.

Waiting On Wednesday (733) On Dancer, Merry and Bright, and Christmas on Cosmic Avenue

Expected Publication: December 4, 2025
Genre: MM, Holiday, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Rudy:
I’ve had a crush on Alexander Dasher, the legendary ballet star, since I was fifteen years old. A decade of pining from a distance.
This holiday season, I’m assisting my mother with our small-town production of The Nutcracker, and guess who’s agreed to take the leading role?
Alexander is rehabbing a knee injury and looking for distraction. I teach him my favorite nerdy game, and soon, we’re talking and playing late into the evening.
One kiss is all it takes to nearly derail our growing friendship. Alexander is reluctant to step into the starring role for my first time. Even if our time together is short, I’m ready to turn my crush into reality if Alexander will give us a chance.

Alexander:
I’ve returned to my hometown after traveling the globe and establishing my reputation among the very best in the world of ballet.
My recent injury threatens all I’ve worked for, but I’m not ready to retire, even as the clock ticks louder.
Gaming with Rudy is the perfect diversion. With him, I’m seen as more than simply Alexander the famous dancer. Developing feelings for Rudy is all too easy, but he deserves far more than a holiday fling.
Our connection burns brighter than a yule log, but I worry we’ll both end up with broken hearts. The whole town, including our mothers, is rooting for us, but a future seems impossible. Can we pirouette our way into a happy ending?

Annabeth Albert is an another author whose Christmas books I always add to my tbr, even though I don't always read everything else she writes during the rest of the year.
Expected Publication: December 4, 2025
Genre: MM, Holiday, Romance

Synopsis from Goodreads:

When given the opportunity to make his dream of owning his own bookstore come true, Winter Atkins couldn’t say yes quick enough. Moving to Hartbridge, Montana, with his favorite aunt is the adventure he needs to start over. And leaving behind a string of unhappy boyfriends because of his asexuality, Winter is all too happy to shelve the idea of dating forever.

Deacon Clark has never fit in. Autistic and neurodivergent, he excels in his studies and at his father’s veterinary clinic, but his social skills are lacking. He’s attracted to men, but his bluntness and aversion to physical touch have made dating impossible.

When Winter brings an injured cat into Deacon’s clinic, it sparks an unlikely friendship; something both men need more than they realize. Hartbridge’s Christmas Cupid has his work cut out for him this year. But with the help of two newly orphaned kittens, from friendship, the strongest bond forms.

This is the 6th year for a Hartbridge Christmas book, and I have really enjoyed reading all of them!
Expected Publication: December 3, 2025
Genre: MM, Holiday, Romance

Synopsis from Goodreads:

When single dad Sab Dubois downloads a dating app, it’s meant to be a bit of harmless curiosity—until his gorgeous neighbour catches him in the act and makes him an offer he can’t refuse.

Galen McCarthy, the firefighter over the back fence, doesn’t do love or relationships—and he certainly doesn’t do forever. Coaching his flustered neighbour through some first-time exploration seems easy enough.

No strings. No expectations. No hearts on the line.

But when fate has Galen fighting for his life for the third Christmas running, everything he didn’t know he wanted comes rushing into focus—the man who fed and healed him, the little lady he adores, and the family he never knew he needed.

Because love doesn’t ask permission. It steals your heart and wraps it in fairy lights. It forgives your fears and guides you home…

This is a series, even though Goodreads and Amazon don't have it listed that way. I've read the previous years books, so this was an automatic add to my tbr. This author loves to write angsty and emotional stories, so I always have to prepare myself before diving in.

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

John Wilder is a full time roofer, a part time stripper, and the world’s greatest dad. Okay, so that last one is a work in progress, but Wilder is doing his best—it’s just that between working two jobs and parenting, he’s struggling, and Gracie’s grandparents are just waiting for him to fail. Getting off on the wrong foot with Gracie’s disapproving kindergarten teacher is the last thing he needs. But Wilder is determined to ace this parenting thing and wipe the judgemental look off Avery Smith’s cute, kissable face—wait, what?

Avery Smith is in his first year teaching, and he’s already got a problem parent. Exhibit A, John Wilder. He turns up late, forgets to bring his daughter snacks, and Avery’s sure he spotted him at the bar the next town over wearing glitter and a G-string. But Avery soon discovers that there’s more to Wilder’s situation than meets the eye, and he finds himself drawn to the attractive single dad. Except Avery has one hard and fast rule—no crushing on the straight dads, no matter how tempting. And Wilder is straight, right?

Turns out Wilder is about to learn a lot of things about himself, and Avery is the perfect teacher.

I had not read either of these authors before I picked up the first book in this series. I really enjoyed reading it, so I want to continue the series.

I came to Legacy for a fresh start—to outrun my past and forget the anonymous man I fell for online.

But now all I see is Alex Marian.
The bane of my existence. Firebug. Reckless bar owner. Walking disaster.

It doesn’t matter that he’s the sexiest man alive. Or charming. Or kind.

He’s entitled, spoiled, rich, naive—everything I hate.

The townspeople say he’s the sunshine to my grump.
What they don’t know is that worrying about him keeps me up at night.

He's the match, and I'm the gasoline—and the way he looks at me says he knows exactly what kind of fire we'd make together.

Alex Marian might just be worth the burn.

I read the first book in this series and it was just okay. I've read a lot of this author's books, but they are becoming a bit repetative. Depending on how much I enjoy this book, I may give up on the rest of this series.

Waiting On Wednesday (730) After Hours at Dooryard Books by Cat Sebastian

Expected Publication: November 18, 2025
Genre: MM, Historical Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

1968 New York City

News about the war might be keeping Patrick up at night--news in general might be keeping Patrick up at night--but he's doing fine. He's sure of it. He gets to spend his days selling books in the gayest neighborhood on the East Coast and his nights merrily sleeping his way through the rare book community. But when he takes in a drifter who seems to be hiding something, and his best friend and her newborn move into the apartment upstairs, his life gets turned on its head.

A sleepy little bookstore should be the perfect place for Nathaniel to lie low, waiting for his past to catch up with him, but it turns out Dooryard Books is full of political radicals and anti-war agitators. If the FBI isn't actively surveilling this place, it will be. Nathaniel should go anywhere else. The last thing he expects is to like these subversives. There's a grieving folk musician and her baby--a demon of a child who will only sleep if Nathaniel, of all people, holds her. There's a pair of rabble-rousing teenagers who, upsettingly, seem to be right about everything. And then there's Patrick, who can't walk past anyone who needs his help--and who is perplexingly determined to help Nathaniel.

As the world balances on the precipice of something new and scary and maybe even hopeful, Patrick needs to decide what he's willing to risk for this chaotic new community he's accidentally created. And Nathaniel needs to figure out whether he has a place in this messy, flawed world--and whether he can believe he deserves it.

1968 is the year of my birth, so I don't remember much about it. Ha! I was raised far from New York, and I don't have firsthand knowledge of the 60's culture there, but I want to read this because it sounds really good and I enjoyed this author's previous books.

Waiting On Wednesday (729) A Loser By Christmas (Christmas Collection #4) by Con Riley

Expected Publication: November 14, 2025
Genre: MM, Holiday, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Spending December with a pro hockey player is the very last thing I have time for. I’m on a tight deadline to escape a job I never wanted, selling speedboats for my father. My only problem is that I need cash to help me sail away from London. Calum Trelawney has the money I need. He also has good reason to hate me.

I’m Valentin Juno, the YouTube creator who made his best friend go viral, and not in a good way. Now hockey’s MVP wants out of his contract and is prepared to pay to make that happen. All I need to do is make him look like a big enough loser that his club drops him.

Following Calum with my camera all through December should be easy. At least, it would be if I had some answers. Like, why is he in England right in the middle of hockey season? And why is he so desperate to escape a contract worth millions?

Prepare for fireworks, for snark with a French accent, and for your stocking to be stuffed with an unexpectedly sweet enemies-to-lovers story set in a central London marina.

I enjoyed reading this author's previous Christmas books because they were a bit on the wholesome side. I'm not terribly excited about this book's premise because it sounds a bit extreme, so I hope it's good!

I have the most ridiculous crush on Briar, a customer who frequents my café. We never run out of things to talk about, and I find myself looking forward to his visits.

Just when I’m about to ask him on a date, he shows up at Sip and Savor with none other than my twin, who beat me to the punch. Definitely not how I hoped things would go.

Except my brother isn’t the settling-down type, so three months into dating Briar, he chooses the worst time to dump him—right before Christmas and straight after Briar asks Nathan to accompany him home for the holidays.

As I try to console Briar, he surprises me by cooking up a plot straight out of the movies, where I go home to Maine with him, pretending to be his boyfriend.

It’s supposed to be a friendly favor, I get a trip to the perfect Christmas town, and Briar can save face with his family and childhood ex. Only just like back in Boston, we have fun together, get each other, and I swear the spark I always felt between us grows.

But how does a guy tell his twin’s ex that he’s had feelings for him all along? And can what starts out as a holiday exchange turn into the perfect happily ever after?

Another Holiday romance, but this sounds MESSY!! And yuck with dating your brothers ex! But maybe it's worth reading? I've read a few book from these authors, both seperately and together, and they're enjoyable, so I hope I like this one!
Expected Publication: October 31, 2025
Genre: MM, Holiday, Romance

Synopsis from Goodreads:

When game developer Patrick Bocker receives a Krampus figurine in the office Secret Santa exchange, he doesn’t think much of it. Then the accidents start happening. The absurd calamities mount, and Patrick becomes a repeat offender at the Emergency Room. By his third visit, Patrick starts to believe that maybe, just maybe, the Krampus figurine is cursed. There is, however, one silver lining – a super hot ER doctor.

Dr. Gray Reynolds is prepared to ignore his attraction to the striking young man in bay two. But by the third time Patrick shows up with new injuries, Gray starts to fear for the cute redhead’s life. He’s determined to drive Patrick home, make sure he’s safe, and get to the bottom of this string of bad luck.

To lift the curse, Gray and Patrick have to find out which of Patrick’s co-workers gifted him the Krampus and return it, all while evading livestock, a criminal Santa, and general mayhem.

Oh—and fall in love. Is that too much to ask of one crazy Christmas Eve?

Yes, more Holiday reading for me. Though I usually overload and get burned out by Christmas. I've read some of this author's works before, but she's not an auto buy for me. Who knows if I'll enjoy this or not, but it sounds cute, and it's not every day that you read about Krampus. lol

that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

After a viral PR disaster torpedoes my marketing career, I flee Manhattan. The only place left to land? A fairy-tale treehouse in a pickle-obsessed Vermont town, left to me by an uncle I barely knew.
Yes, I said pickles.
No, I’m not okay.

But I’m only here temporarily. Just long enough to regroup, let the notoriety die down, and figure out my next steps in peace. Unfortunately, my new neighbor has other ideas.

Beckett “the Axe” Axford–cranky local heartthrob and unapologetic tree-murderer–claims Uncle Jim made him promises about the forest around the treehouse, and he’s none too pleased when I won’t take his word for it.

Unfortunately for him, I’m done playing by other people’s rules. I’m not backing down just because some sexy–I mean grumpy–lumberjack says so, and I can handle whatever he dishes out.

I’m tired of losing, so I’m not giving up my inheritance or my heart without a fight. And if Beckett thinks differently, he can kiss my axe.

I usually enjoy reading this author - as long as she doesn't get carried away making the townsfolk and/or the town itself too silly and OTT. Yes, that is something she's been known to do.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

I came to Legacy, Montana, to sell a fantasy—twelve Insta-ready #Holidates of Christmas. One career-making brand deal. Zero drama. Then my videographer bailed, and in walked Maddox Sullivan.

Grumpy. Gorgeous. Growly. A mountain man with zero chill and even less tolerance for influencers like me. He agrees to film my content—off-camera only—but when my first date cancels, guess who ends up in front of the lens?

Our chemistry is instant. My followers are obsessed. #TeamMaddrian starts trending. Suddenly, all my dates are mysteriously dropping out, and Maddox is reluctantly starring in every single holidate—sleigh rides, snowball fights, cocoa by the fire, kisses under the mistletoe.

And I… I’m starting to forget this was ever supposed to be pretend.

I came here for curated content. Now I’m dreaming of a life I never thought I wanted—with a man I never saw coming. But am I falling for the picture-perfect holiday fantasy? Or could this be the start of my real-life happily ever after?

Waiting On Wednesday (725) Just This Once (Men Of Porth Luck #1) by Garrett Leigh

A broken soldier. A guarded nurse. A love that shouldn’t happen—and yet...
"Of course it f**king does."
Mal’s just passing through. Skylar’s the small-town nurse who fixes everyone but himself. Mal swears he won't fall, but Sky’s smile hides shadows he can’t ignore.
Those pewter-grey eyes.
That sun-kissed hair.
That ink.
They’re a mistake waiting to happen.
Inevitable. Excruciating.
So where's the harm in Just This Once?

This is a new series by an author I usually enjoy. However.... because this author likes to link series after series together, I sometimes feel lost when *certain* characters are mentioned and I'm supposed to know who they are. I haven't read every book from this author, because that's just crazy! I'll be reading this book and hoping it all makes sense!

Waiting On Wednesday (724) Bait and Switch (Subtle Deceptions #2) by Elle Keaton

Gabriel Karne is back.

The plan? Lie low on Heartstone Island and wait for the dumpster fire that is his past life to burn itself out. So far, so good. Until it isn't.

Gabriel has avoided Ranger Man for days, made a few important repairs to his sailboat, and put a dent in the stack of dime-store mysteries Elton loaned him. Life is at least okay.

Eight days in and his strategy crumbles like a wet cookie.

His ex-partner-in-crime returns, but this time he is very dead. And wearing a baby blue tracksuit, which somehow makes his murder even worse.

Is his body a message from the crime family they mutually pissed off? Did Peter have connections to Heartstone? And if he didn't, how the hell did he know he'd find Gabe there?

With yet another exceedingly ill-timed murder, Gabe's luck is once again not the Good Kind. Then there's his simmering attraction to Casey, which he's actively sweeping underneath his mental throw rug. Lundin is definitely not Gabe's type. He's a walking-talking moral compass that never seems to cease pointing out everything he's sure is wrong about Gabe. But damn, that man's uniform fits him like a glove.

Adding to it all, snow is in the forecast, there's a missing brush worker up the valley, and Calvin Perkins is still on the loose. And Gabe's not even going to think about the spiders.

Everything will be fine. FINE.

Oops. The release date on this was supposed to be in October. (Those damn indie authors - always finishing books and releasing them early.) I usually enjoy reading this author, and I liked the first book in this series, even though I was left with a lot of questions. I hope this book clears up some of the secrecy surrounding Gabriel.

Waiting On Wednesday (722) A Breath of Life (Shadowy Solutions #4) by Nicky James

On a balmy September evening, Tallus and Diem discover a man who has been attacked in an alley. Saving his life seems like the right thing to do. With his dying breath, the man thrusts an item upon the couple and makes one request. Get rid of it.

The mysterious object proves to be valuable, and Tallus doesn’t want to part with it.

Keeping it makes Diem uncomfortable in a way he can’t explain. Tempers flare, but before they can come to an agreement, everything unravels. The item is more dangerous than either of them realized.

Lies and secrets threaten to tear the couple apart as Diem is drawn into something dark and menacing. Keeping his hotheaded boyfriend safe proves to be almost impossible, but Diem’s been given a task, and he will not fail.

If he does, he will lose everything.

4 books into this series and I'm still not sure that I like this couple. Their behavior towards each other just isn't romantic. I never got over how Diem treated Tallus in the first book, and without an apology Tallus overlooks being used and kicked out repeatedly just because he 'likes' Diem. So now Tallus forces his way into Diem's cases, and Diem reluctantly puts up with it. That's not romance, and it makes for an uncomfortable read. I keep hoping the writing will get better and this couple will be amazing. (This series is from the same author who simultaneously wrote another series that was actually ROMANTIC and swoony and all the things. So maybe I'm just disappointed that it's not up to my standards.)

Margot Hart is a hopeless romantic. That’s why she wants to be a literary agent—to help bring romance books to the world. It’s also why she hates dating apps with all her romance loving soul. She wants her own love story to be just as much fun as the books she reads—a mixed up coffee order, a mistaken identity. She’s not going to tell the story that she swiped right on future husband’s shirtless pic for the rest of her life.

The problem is that her most consistent relationship over the last several years is with Oliver, a guy she keeps rematching with on the apps. They’ve only been on one date and it was a disaster…well, until the make out session in the car before parting ways. But, she keeps reminding herself, a make out session does not a relationship make. And so there will not be a date two regardless of how witty their app banter is.

When Margot gets fired from her job on the same day she meets Oliver again, her life becomes a veritable shit show. Her dream career is dying right before her eyes, and Oliver thinks she’s interested in only one thing: a repeat of the hot make out session they had three years ago so she can get him out of her system. And maybe that is all she wants from him, because she and Oliver are definitely not compatible—he doesn’t hit the snooze button, he runs five miles every morning, he reads nonfiction, and worst of all, she didn’t meet him in cute way! But in her scramble to keep her dream career alive, by opening her own agency, Oliver is there with his golden retriever energy, more steady and helpful than any man she’s ever dated. Just when she thinks she’s overcome her app bias, she realizes that maybe it’s not her who’s holding back, but him. And his reasons are more than she bargained for.

Kasie West was an automatic read for me way, WAY back in my YA contemporary reading days. The only reason this hit my radar is because it's her adult rom-com debut. So, we'll see.

(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

William Thorn had his life all planned out… until he discovered his long-term boyfriend Archie in bed with another man. Distraught, William kicks him out of their home, where tragedy strikes when Archie is killed instantly in a car accident.

Riddled with guilt, William is shocked to learn that he’s inherited a manor in the quaint village of Stonewall, left to him in Archie’s will. He leaves the city with plans to make a new start for himself, but is surprised by the rundown state of the manor, and the unwelcoming villagers who want him gone. His only ally is Edward, a seemingly friendly local with secrets of his own...

However, it’s not only the villagers who are adverse to his presence. A malevolent spirit roams the manor, one that seeks to drive William out for good. But what dark secrets lie hidden in the manor walls? And will William be able to put aside his own grief to save his new home...and his life?

New to me author, and I don't remember how this got on my tbr. Obviously added it after seeing it somewhere, along with the genres of Queer, Gothic, Horror, Paranormal, Romance. I'm seeing mixed reviews on Goodreads, so I'm hoping I don't regret reading this!

Waiting On Wednesday (719) Hot Chicken (Sunday Brothers #6) by May Archer

Expected Publication: September 9, 2025
Genre: MM, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Once upon a time, in the town of Little Pippin Hollow, Vermont, Hawk Sunday spotted a silly ceramic rooster on a crowded table at the Annual Craft and Rummage Sale… and a whole flock of hot Sunday summer shenanigans ensued!

Hot Chicken is a collection of five steamy, interconnected stories where we catch up with each of our Sunday couples (Knox and Gage, Webb and Luke, Porter and Theo, Hawk and Jack, and Uncle Drew and Marco!) as they navigate the gloriously messy realities of their own happily-ever-afters.

Get ready to swoon as big questions are finally asked, sigh as tiny (baby) secrets are revealed, and snort-laugh at the ridiculous lengths these men will go to for love. Because when it comes to the Sunday Brothers, there’s no such thing as too much chaos, too much passion, too much romance…

Or too much Hot Chicken.

This is one of those books that is so easy to add to my tbr. I read the whole series, so of course I'm interested in a follow up for each couple.

Waiting On Wednesday (718) Rescuing Dr. Marian (Made Marian Legacy #1) by Lucy Lennox

Expected Publication: August 19, 2025
Genre: MM, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

As sheriff, I’m the guy people call for help. But when my solo Hawaii trip gets hijacked by my clingy ex, suddenly I’m the one who needs saving. My unlikely rescuer? A gorgeous stranger who plants one breathtaking, reckless kiss on me in the middle of a crowded bar—sending my ex packing… and stealing my carefully guarded heart.

Tommy Marian kissed me like he knew me. Like he wanted me. Like I was his. Like he was mine. But he’s not.

He’s a straight, ambitious city doctor—here in paradise for his own damn wedding. And I’m going home alone, as usual.

Six months later, I land a dream search and rescue gig in Legacy, Montana. One summer. A break from my coupled-up friends. Zero distractions. Except guess who’s freshly single… and bunking in my tiny cabin? The biggest distraction of my life. Tommy Marian is still beautiful, still infuriating, and still everything I can’t want.

When Tommy disappears on the mountain, I realize I’d burn the world to get him back… And maybe this time, I won’t let him go.

I did NOT read the original Made Marian series, but I DID read the spin off series, so I am at least familiar with these characters. For the most part, I enjoy reading this author, so I have this book on my tbr and I'll see if it's interesting enough to continue this new series.

Waiting On Wednesday (717) The (Most Unusual) Haunting of Edgar Lovejoy by Roan Parrish

Expected Publication: September 9, 2025
Genre: Cozy MM Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Jamie Wendon-Dale creates haunted houses for a living. Haunting is their life—but nobody working New Orleans' spooky circuit actually believes in ghosts.

Edgar Lovejoy is 100% haunted. No, really. Ghosts have tormented him since childhood and he's organized his life around attempts to avoid them.

Opposites? Get ready to attract. But while Jamie's biggest concern is that Edgar sometimes seems a bit distracted, Edgar's fears are much greater. Not only is he scared of encountering the dearly departed whenever he leaves the house, but he's terrified of making himself vulnerable to Jamie.

After all, how do you tell someone who believes ghosts only exist as smoke and mirrors that you see them everywhere you go? And how can you trust in a happy future when you can't even believe in yourself?

Obviously, I'm reading this one for the ghosties! I have read a few books by this author and enjoyed them, although her books aren't automatic reads to me. Her themes are a little all over the place, so some books I'm really not interested in. This one is listed as a 'cozy' romance, which is fine with me because I don't always need bedroom scenes in my romances.

Waiting On Wednesday (716) The Question of Us (Fisher & Church #2) by Jay Hogan

Expected Publication: September 4, 2025
Genre: MM, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

The nightmare is over. Or so I keep telling myself. Bruised and battered, we'd narrowly escaped with our lives. I should be grateful. Grateful that my captors are in custody. Grateful that the chilling, roller-coaster of events, actually brought Nick and I closer. Grateful that we’ve finally taken a step toward something more than friendship. And I am, grateful.

But life isn’t simple. Relationships need work. And peace of mind is elusive in the face of unbearable guilt.

Because I’m the one who unravelled the puzzle. The one responsible for sending a young man back to a life he thought he’d escaped forever. Until I know he’s safe; until I’ve done everything I can to fix what happened, there will be no pretending I’ve done my bit. No leaving it up to the authorities. I can’t forget and move on. Not in my job. Not in my life. And certainly not in my fledgling romance with Nick Fisher who stormed into my heart with a truckload of his own issues.

The fate of a young man isn't the only thing at stake. The quest for truth will push us to our limits. And the biggest question of all—do Nick and I have what it takes to survive the answers.

You know what? I liked the angst in the first book. Nick's husband was killed and Madigan came along and helped him find out who did it (and why.) I loved all the emotional upheavals between these 2 and I appreciated the slow (read that as SLOOOOOOOOOOW) burn so much. Both men are in their 50's, so I can totally relate! I can't wait for the rest of the mystery to play out, and I'm looking forward to seeing how their relationship develops.

Waiting On Wednesday (715) The Unlikely Spare (Unlikely Dilemmas #3) by Jax Calder

Expected Publication: August 22, 2025
Genre: MM, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This is my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Nicholas:

I’m the spare, the younger brother of the Prince of Wales. Ever since I was propelled up the order of succession, it feels like a microscope has been applied to every aspect of my life.

After a recent security scandal, I’ve been assigned a new bodyguard. A hulking, brooding guy who won’t take his eyes off me. He’s the first person I’ve met who is completely immune to my charm.

When I’m sent on a royal tour of Australia and New Zealand, it should be a standard visit to friendly Commonwealth countries—a chance to escape the British winter and bask in some Southern Hemisphere sunshine.

It would be enjoyable…if only someone wasn’t trying to kill me.

Eoin:

I’ve clawed my way from the slums of Ireland to become one of Scotland Yard’s top undercover agents. But a deep security breach leads me to unexpectedly playing pretend bodyguard to a privileged prince on a tour Down Under.

Something about Nicholas gets under my skin, affecting me in ways no one ever has.

Still, I’m a professional. I can handle this.

But as we navigate koala cuddling sessions, didgeridoo lessons, and deadly spiders in hotel rooms, I see beneath Nicholas’s princely façade. I’m supposed to uncover who’s behind the threat to our nation, not fall for the man I’m protecting.

This author is still cashing in on the success of Red, White & Royal Blue. (It has to end sometime because there are only so many British 'royals' IRL.) I'm interested in seeing how this book turns out. Hopefully it's the last of the royals and the author goes back to her light, fun romances that I enjoy reading.
