August 2018 Recap and September 2018 TBR

I know it's summer, but it's so HOT!!! I'm SO ready for fall.

I've been reading so much this year that I bumped up my Goodreads challenge from 150 books (which I will reach this month) to 175 books. I should accomplish that quite easily.

My kids' birthday are this month. They will be 21 and 24! Makes me feel old saying that. Their birthdays are 5 days apart, and then my birthday (49 again) is 7 days later. Much celebrating will be going on!!

I can't believe that it's August already! I didn't realize how little I read last month until I started this list. Crazy!

I keep adding to my tbr, knowing that I'm never going to get around to reading every book on there. I try to choose wisely, but I still get some klunkers, and I have such a hard time DNFing!

I obviously love Josh Lanyon, as you can see by my rereading of the first 3 books in the series before book #4 was released. And it took me a long while to get up the gumption to read Cash Plays because I knew it was going to rip my heart out. It made me so sad! Imperial Stout was a great start to a spin off series.

I had another lovely month of reading some really great books! I've been getting my Bluewater Bay series from Hoopla via my library. Same for the Cut & Run series and the Sidewinder series. I can only borrow 7 books per month, so I have to choose wisely. And I did more rereads of Josh Lanyon, because I can never have too much Josh Lanyon!

Cupcakes is the only M/F series I've been reading recently. It's a fun series.

This Pine Harbor book synopsis has pissed me off from the first time I read it. 3 years before they meet, she slept with his brother (and almost tried to tell the brother that the baby was his!) They meet here for the first time, but ew, Ick factor, and not something I want to support. But how can I read the entire series and stop at book #7? I'm so torn!!
