This my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Ryder knows two things. Tragedy can strike at any moment so you have to hold tightly to the gifts life gives you. And, Shay is one of those gifts. To Ryder their fifteen-year age difference is nothing, Shay is the man he wants. Now he just needs an opportunity to plead his case with the sexy lawyer.

He gets his chance when Shay asks him to assist on a case involving a missing person, but the investigation quickly turns perilous. A stomach-churning rollercoaster ride of what the hell is going on, puts both men in danger—but from whom?

Will the two get their chance at love, or will a brutal criminal tear the future from their grasp?

I've been waiting for Shay's story since he was a side character in this author's Veiled Intentions series.
I hope he's worth the wait!!

Waiting On Wednesday (518) Total Creative Control (Creative Types #1) by Joanna Chambers and Sally Malcolm

Expected publication: October 28, 2021
Genre: M/M, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Sunshine PA, meet Grumpy Boss ...

When fanfic writer Aaron Page landed a temp job with the creator of hit TV show, Leeches, it was only meant to last a week. Three years later, Aaron’s still there ...

It could be because he loves the creative challenge. It could be because he’s a huge Leeches fanboy. It’s definitely not because of Lewis Hunter, his extremely demanding, staggeringly rude ... and breathtakingly gorgeous boss.

Is it?

Lewis Hunter grew up the hard way and fought for everything he’s got. His priority is the show, and personal relationships come a distant second. Besides, who needs romance when you have a steady stream of hot men hopping in and out of your bed?

His only meaningful relationship is with Aaron, his chief confidante and indispensable assistant. And no matter how appealing he finds Aaron’s cute boy-next-door charms, Lewis would never risk their professional partnership just to scratch an itch.

But when Lewis finds himself trapped at a hilariously awful corporate retreat, Aaron is his only friend and ally. As the professional lines between them begin to blur, their simmering attraction starts to sizzle… And they’re both about to get burned.

I don't know if these 2 authors have written together before. I have read them both separately and liked them, so I should enjoy them together, right? I hope so!!

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Will his temporary PA turn into something permanent when they land in Vegas?

When billionaire hotelier Luca Bernardi discovers his trusty assistant can't come with him on an important business trip, he panics. Thankfully, she calls in a backup. Only... she was a little under the influence of heavy narcotics when she made the call... and when the temp shows up wearing sequins and a tiara, Luca wonders if his PA has taken leave of her senses and arranged for a... worker of the night instead of a professional assistant.

As the PA to a renowned venture capitalist, Marcel Abbott knows his way around an investment negotiation. As far as he's concerned, he's the best temp this Luca guy could ever want for his business trip to Vegas. But when Marcel boards Luca's private jet, Luca treats him like... a rent boy. Just what does this man think the "P" in "PA" stands for?

Expected publication: October 26th 2021
Genre: M/M, Romance

Synopsis from Goodreads:

It was supposed to be a prank. A silly frat boy dare.

One hot moment in a hidden storage closet. One kiss. No consequences.

But if you get that close to a man with fire in his eyes, you’re gonna get burned, and I was no exception. One taste of Grey Blackwood ruined me for life.

The way Grey sees it, I was the one who did the ruining. I humiliated him. Wrecked his life. Destroyed his future.

Doesn’t matter that he’s clawed his way back and then some. Doesn’t matter that he’s already top of the Wall Street food chain. The man’s ruthless. Heartless. And he likes his revenge served cold.

Now he’s taking down the companies owned by every frat boy who did him wrong. And when he comes for my family’s company, the quiet life I’ve built for myself far away from Manhattan comes crumbling down, too.

But when Grey’s standing in our boardroom, threatening a hostile takeover and demanding I negotiate on behalf of my family, I don’t see an enemy. I see the chance I’ve been waiting for.

The chance for another night in his arms, and hopefully a whole lot more.

Let the negotiations begin.

I've been reading all of this author's recent works, including what she co-authors with May Archer. After reading them together and separate, I *think* I like May Archer's writing better. (Just saying.) Here's hoping I like both of my picks this week.

Waiting On Wednesday (516) The Underdog (Better With You #3) by Briar Prescott

Expected publication: October 14, 2021
Genre: M/M, Romance

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event that is hosted by Tressa at Wishful Endings
that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.
(WoW was previously hosted by Breaking The Spine.)

This my favorite day of the week because I love sharing and discovering new books.

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Anders: There once was a guy who told a little white lie. That didn’t turn out so well. I would know. I’m the guy.

Once upon a time, I told my brother and sister that my dream was to do a triathlon. I never expected them to sign me up for one! Now I’m forced to deal with my very cantankerous personal trainer. Wells Montgomery is an angry, rude, judgmental bastard. Frankly, I’m surprised the chip on his shoulder hasn’t crushed him yet.

But the more time I spend with him, the more I realize that the anger is just a facade that conceals a man who is more than a little lost.

The more time I spend with him, the more I start to think that maybe somebody should find him.

The more time I spend with him, the more I start to think that maybe, just maybe, that person could be me?

Wells: There once was a guy who flew unimaginably high. That didn’t turn out so well. I would know. I’m the guy.

A year ago I was on top of the world. It only took a handful of seconds for my life to irreversibly change course. Needless to say, I’m not happy. Neither am I happy when my dad and one of my so-called friends trick me into becoming a personal trainer for some guy who wants to do a triathlon. Now I need to get this Anders Kelly to fire me.

It’s a good plan, if only Anders wasn’t so unbelievably stubborn. And too nice for his own good. Annoyingly fun. Irritatingly kind. His faults just keep piling up.

But the more time I spend with him, the harder it becomes to keep my distance.

The more time I spend with him, the more I start to see the possibilities life still offers.

The more time I spend with him, the more I start to think that maybe, just maybe, Anders might not be an unattainable dream after all.

I enjoyed the first book in this series. It was fluffy, sweet, and cute. I still need to read the 2nd book, but I'm really looking forward to this one! I can't wait to find out what made Wells so grumpy.
