  47. I've read so many great books this year it’s difficult to choose just one or to even narrow it down to just a few. Not to mention that I'm a bit behind, so some of my favs I read this year were published prior to 2012.
    The Taker (book1) and The Reckoning (book 2)by Alma Katsu
    Theft of Sword/Rise of Empire/Heir of Novron (Riyria Revelations) by Michael J Sullivan
    The Black Prism and The Blinding Knife by Brent Weeks
    Tart by Lauren Dane
    When The Duchess Said Yes by Isabella Bradford
    There are so many others...I could go on for a while. I just started Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes and already I'm loving it.

    Veronica Roth is an amazing author!
    But there has been so many great reads this year!

  62. I have honestly had so many favorites in 2012. It was really a great year as far as books went for me. One of my favorites was Silence by Michele Sagara. An absolutely beautiful YA novel, and I cannot wait for the second book.

  88. I read a lot of good books in 2012 so it’s hard to pick just one, but I think the one that stands out the most is,” The Crimson League (The Herezoth Trilogy)”, by Victoria Grefer . I wasn’t expecting it to be nearly as good as it was but when I read it, I was so surprised as it turned out to be completely brilliant as she brought an entire world to life. I loved it.

  90. Great giveaway! My favorite read in 2012, hands down was Daughter of Smoke & Bone and its sequel Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor. BLEW ME AWAY !! AND I'm new to your blog and I have no idea where your blog name originiated...BUT if it has anything to do with Wentworth Miller from Prison Break you totally RULE! If it doesn't..well you still rule because of your giveaway :)

    1. Although I DO love Wentworth Miller (and I adored the first season of Prison Break. The second season was hard to get through. The third season just broke my poor little heart!) the name comes from Jane Austen's Persuasion - Captain Wentworth writes the most amazing letter EVER to Anne Elliot.

  100. Hi! I have a lot of favorites, most of them are fantasies though, such as Howl's Moving Castle-Diana Wynne Jones, Throne of Glass-Sarah J Maas, A Face Like Glass-Frances Hardinge, Airborne-Kenneth Oppel, Deathless-CM Valente, etc.

    I recently read The Killing Moon by NK Jemisin, which I'm sure you'll like (if you haven't read it)l because, oh my god, it is awesome! One of the best fantasy books out there, really. You should check it out.
