Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

Even though I've been participating in Waiting on Wednesday for over 5 years, Wednesday is still my favorite day of the week!

Expected publication: January 31st 2017 by Viking Books for Young Readers

Synopsis from Goodreads:

June 1812. Just weeks after her catastrophic coming-out ball, Lady Helen Wrexhall—now disowned by her uncle—is a full member of the demon-hunting Dark Days Club. Her mentor, Lord Carlston, has arranged for Helen to spend the summer season in Brighton so that he can train her new Reclaimer powers. However, the long-term effects of Carlston’s Reclaimer work have taken hold, and his sanity is beginning to slip. At the same time, Carlston’s Dark Days Club colleague and nemesis will stop at nothing to bring Helen over to his side—and the Duke of Selburn is determined to marry her. The stakes are even higher for Helen as she struggles to become the warrior that everyone expects her to be.

This comes out in 2 weeks, and I still haven't read the first book. Someone convince me that I really need to read this series soon!

What are you waiting on this week?

  1. I wanted so badly to read the Dark Days Club when it first came out, never got a round to it. Hopefully you will read it and then talk me into dropping everything and reading it.

  3. I am so excited to read this sequel! I loved book one, and I highly recommend it. Though maybe it might be better to binge-read the trilogy, because I've heard something about a cliffhanger, at the end of this book. I hope you enjoy this book when you get a chance to read it, Sandra!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a fantastic week. =)

  4. I'm actually reading The Dark Days Club right now and quite enjoying it! It's really rich in historical detail and takes some time for the pacing to pick up, but I'm just getting to the part where Helen is being introduced to a world of demons being among us. There's intrigue and mystery too, so I'm definitely eager to see what happens next. I hope you have a chance to read it! :)
