Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we are eagerly anticipating.

Wednesday is my absolute favorite day of the week because I get to share the books that I am super excited about and can't wait to read.

Expected publication: September 16th 2014 by Balzer & Bray

Synopsis from Goodreads:

The Breakfast Club meets Pretty Little Liars in Gretchen McNeil’s witty and suspenseful novel about four disparate girls who join forces to take revenge on high school bullies and create dangerous enemies for themselves in the process.

Bree, Olivia, Kitty, and Margot have nothing in common—at least that’s what they’d like the students and administrators of their elite private school to think. The girls have different goals, different friends, and different lives, but they share one very big secret: They’re all members of Don’t Get Mad, a secret society that anonymously takes revenge on the school’s bullies, mean girls, and tyrannical teachers.

When their latest target ends up dead with a blood-soaked “DGM” card in his hands, the girls realize that they’re not as anonymous as they thought—and that someone now wants revenge on them. Soon the clues are piling up, the police are closing in . . . and everyone has something to lose.

So many books are compared to Pretty Little Liars, and I couldn't care less because I've never seen an episode. The Breakfast Club is awesome, but I can't get my kids to watch it. They don't want to watch an 'old' movie. They don't know what they're missing!!!! I just hope Get Even is an awesome beginning to this series.

What are you waiting on this week? Be sure to leave a link to your WoW post so it's easier for me to visit you. Yes, that means YOU!

    1. I keep thinking that eventually they will give in and watch some of my favorites from the 80's - Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink, Say Anything, or even Dirty Dancing. Ha. Not only are these movies old, they are 'weird'. Oh well.
      Thanks for stopping by!

  4. I love Pretty Little Liars, though I am getting annoyed at the comparisons now, because yeah, so many have been lately. But I love revenge based stories anyway, so can't wait to read this either! :)

    1. It seems like a lot of contemps are using this tagline just to lure in readers. It doesn't work on me though. I do hope we both enjoy reading this one. Thanks for stopping by.

  8. This book looks so good. I wish it was coming out now instead of September!

I love The Breakfast Club and other movies I remember watching as a kid, but I feel the same way as your kids about movies that I consider old. They just look so dated and don't interest me.

  10. PLL is a favourite of mine (both the series and the show), so I'm always wary of the comparison. This sounds awesome though! Great pick :)

  13. I'm excited for this one, too. Agreed that PLL seems to be the go-to for comparisons. I read the first few books in the series, but gave up when it just kept dragging on and on. Love the BC. Great pick!
