At least work is keeping Rain and the PTU plenty busy. Their latest case involves Hannah Caldwell, a silent ghost who can’t—or won’t—speak. She still manages to request that they find her dear friend, Cherry Parker, so that she can say goodbye. Piece of cake. Finding people is pretty high on the list of things that Rain does best.
But when it comes to ghosts, nothing is ever quite what it seems. Before long, his simple missing person’s case takes a dark and twisted turn. And Rain realizes he’s been so busy trying to protect Danny that he forgot to protect himself.
If he doesn’t turn things around—and quickly—his spooky life might be cut short for good.
Yay!! Ghosties!! The first book in this series is one of my favorite books ever. (My only complaint with books 2 and 3 is that Rain went from "I see and hear ghosts" to having full on 'supernatural' abilities seemingly out of the blue. He hid the fact that he could hear ghosts all his life, so these other stronger abilities just now coming to light seem... convenient to the story.) I'm just hoping this book gets back to it's ghost roots, and stops trying to add more and more to Rain's skills.

OOh interesting! Although I do hate when one's secret abilities just keep conveniently expanding with no prior hint or whatever. Hopefully this series will turn back to its original roots for you!

Exactly, Jessica. Rain went from talking to friendly ghosts to bringing real people back to life with no explanation of all the other stuff in between. Just all powerful out of the blue.
